MA BOLI Events 2021

The guest speaker was treasure, having great knowledge. He explained history very interestingly. This session reminded me about a comic book, I’ve read in childhood, about Sikh History named “Nikkian Jindaan vadde Saake”.

I think whole session was managed perfectly. I wish SEF Family members All the very best and Big THANKS for making me part of these wonderful sessions.

Best Regards,
P Singh

It was very knowledgeable programe. Kandhalvi sahib has got huge knowledge about Sikhism. I hope you will call him again on any other issues about Sikhism in the future.      R Singh

Well presented knowledgeable session on Sikh history.

MA BOLI EVENTS 2022

A brilliant mix of background of lorhi, very useful lorhi recepie, excellent poetry including humour , songs 🎵 and fun shunn   Gurdip

Sat Siri Aakal.
Re: Lorhi program: I really enjoyed the social event. It was very informative and useful.   K K D.

The program was very entertaining , interesting and informative. Sarai sahib gave an excellent and detailed account covering the cultural, historical and religious aspects of Lohri. The links of Lohri and Maghi (day after Lohri) as highlighted by him redefined the significance of this event for us Sikhs. The story of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the forty Muktae really came alive through his narrative. I was emotionally moved .
Nirmal Singh Kandhalvi, used his talent for poetry to depict in a very humorous tone, how our preoccupation with social media is impacting our daily lives- for better or worse. Yes we need to be aware of this invasion.
All other speakers made very useful contributions through poetry, singing , short speeches and discussions. Sharanjit, you chaired the program extremely well and very well supported by Rajinder. Thank you all.     Gurmit

Trip to Rutland Water

Hi Sharan I just like to say thank you for inviting us
to Rutland waters. My friend and I had a wonderful day,
we were welcomed on the coach and we felt like we were
one big family. We had a great day I would recommend
going with the Sikh forum to all my friends and I
will definitely go again

Thanx for arranging such a nice trip. It was a bit
tiring though, however, I enjoyed every minute.
Kandhalvi

Hii Sharon , Saturday Indarjit and I had a very
different experience feel it’s important that others
are made aware of the walking involved. I struggled
getting about as did my friend Indarjit. On a strong
positive we loved the boat journey to the church.
We had brought return tickets therefore we got to
see three weddings !!! We had to wait to get a boat
back because the boat was booked for the wedding
parties On the return journey back we had the boat
to ourselves and loved that we were invited to be
at the front of the boat ! the quietness on the
coach was much appreciated too other than the
few stories shared

Just a quick note to everyone who attended day
trip to Rutland water park! Everyone was so
friendly and welcoming … with all the stories
the journey just went in no time at all! It was a
lovely sunny day that always helps. The park was
really big didn’t realise how big until we started
walking around! There were loads of toilets and food
places scattered around at each point which was
really good especially at our age when you have one
drink and need the loo three times 😅. Boat ride
was beautiful as water was sparkling in the sun!
Got loads of walking in and bless everyone and coach
driver who didn’t mind coming to pick us up at a
different point because we were two women on a
mission to get loads off steps in and try and get
around the whole park! Not sure if we got around
the whole park but at one stage thought we’d walked
around the whole of Leicester 😬. We all had a
good laugh when coach picked us up which was really
good off everyone 🙏. A beautiful day surrounded
by loads of greenery and good people what more could
you ask for 🙏. So thank you to Sharon and Sikh
education society for arranging and making us step
out of are comfort zone 🙏🙏. Lol even after all
that walking over 25000 steps didn’t ache the next
day if anything woke up for the first time in ages
with a bit of get up and go in me so again thank
you to you all🙏🥰
